Arlington Heights Ellis Lawrence Primary Bath

The clients of this Arlington Heights home designed by architect Ellis Lawrence wanted to retain the historical architecture feel of their 1912 home while adding functionality and modern elements.

In the primary bath, our focus was on enhancing functionality and luxury. By reconfiguring the layout, we made space for a luxurious soaking tub and a spa shower, ideal for a relaxing experience. The original medicine cabinet was replicated to double the vanity area, and custom console sinks with pipe fittings preserve the period style. Vintage-style tile flooring and trim preserved the bathroom's original character, complementing the newly added elements. These thoughtful updates, from the period-appropriate console sinks to the custom vanities and vintage fixtures, ensured a harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.

The master bath's luxurious additions and balance of new and old was executed with an eye for detail and a commitment to enhancing the client's living experience. The result is a primary bathroom that not only meet modern needs but also honors the history and legacy of the architect’s vision.
