Arlington Heights Ellis Lawrence Kitchen

The clients of this Arlington Heights home designed by architect Ellis Lawrence wanted to retain the historical architecture feel of their 1912 home while adding functionality and modern elements.

We transformed the kitchen with practical updates, clean lines, and classic materials while preserving its original charm. New appliances, including a sleek range, were seamlessly integrated with the original cabinetry, which were revitalized with a fresh coat of paint and subtle modifications. The addition of a stone countertop, scribed to fit snugly around the cabinetry, enhanced both functionality and aesthetic appeal. A custom hood cabinet was carefully crafted to complement the historic style, while new marble backsplash and trim create a contemporary yet timeless kitchen design.

The kitchen's careful balance of new and old was executed with an eye for detail and a commitment to enhancing the client's living experience. The result contributes to a home that not only meet modern needs but also honors the history and legacy of the architect’s vision.
